Stolen guns used in fatal Wash. shooting rampage
Zamora’s only comment in court when he was charged last Friday was to twice declare: “I kill for God. I listen to God.”

Keith Tyne, a public defender appointed to represent Zamora, has said little about the case. After Zamora was charged, Tyne said, “Clearly there are significant mental health issues at play.”

Insane

Bush: God told me to invade Iraq – Americas, World – The Independent
President George Bush has claimed he was told by God to invade Iraq and attack Osama bin Laden’s stronghold of Afghanistan as part of a divine mission to bring peace to the Middle East, security for Israel, and a state for the Palestinians.

Sane

Right?

umm… can someone explain that to me?

If it’s the President of the US killing thousands of people, it’s sane…

but if it is one guy killing half a dozen or more, then it’s insane…

If someone talks to god and god tells them to feed the poor, clothe the homeless and save the orphans… they are sane… also very nice, admittedly…

If someone talks to god and god tells them to build a survival camp in the mountains, kill all heathens, stockpile weapons and food, and fuck their own daughters to keep their gene pool pure… they are insane… despite the fact that all these were commands issued by “god” to various characters in the Bible…

can someone please tell me who decides this shit?

does someone write to the National Divinity Hearing Council to get certification on whether the voices you hear are actually from god or something? Do they get something they can frame or some kind of membership card?

why can people NOT see the irrational dichotomy here…?

psychologists, psychiatrists and psychological institutes and schools are the most cowardly group of human beings on this world… just come out and say that anyone who even thinks of saying they hear god is patently, certifiably fucking off their rockers and should be medicated, restrained and institutionalized long-term.

the average person is a coward as well, because no one with any sense believes that shit but they are too afraid of being chastised and/or shunned by their peers or society. OR, they go along for political or financial opportunism.

god freaks are just that… freaks… and should be treated as such.

wow… I match at least 10 of these

One hopeful US Republican pres. candidate signed this ad in a 1998 USA Today paper… Mike Huckabee…  :-D

god bless America!” Where shit and pond scum is free to walk and talk!  :-D

The SBC family stance was adopted at the June SBC annual meeting in Salt Lake City as a new article to the convention’s 1963 Baptist Faith and Message confessional statement.

The SBC article describes marriage as “the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime.” It also notes, “The husband and wife are of equal worth before God, since both are created in God’s image. … A husband is to love his wife as Christ loved the church. … A wife is to submit herself graciously to the servant leadership of her husband even as the church willingly submits to the headship of Christ.”

The evangelical leaders’ USA Today ad states to the Southern Baptist Convention:

“You are right because you recognized that the family was God’s idea, not man’s, and that marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman for a lifetime.

“You are right because you called husbands to sacrificially love and lead their wives.

You are right because you called wives to graciously submit to their husband’s sacrificial leadership.

“You are right because you affirmed that the husband and wife are of equal worth before God.

“You are right because you reminded us that children are a blessing and heritage from the Lord.

“More importantly, you are right because your statement is based on biblical truth.”

fucking honkies!  ;-)

(I may be white, what else can I call them?)

I’m no fan of Winston Churchill… fat fuck that he was, but I love this one:

“The best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter.”

Now, here’s the thing…

this represents 2 things to me:

  1. an undeniable truth
  2. the sickening arrogance of the right-wing

those 2 points seem mutually exclusive, don’t they? and I agree… they are…

but at the same time, that’s exactly how I feel…

they ARE mutually exclusive, but..

I think that the common guy on the street is a political idiot…

and understanding that truth, the right-wing sees it as something to manipulate, control and abuse…

whereas I see it as something that needs to be stopped… people should be educated to understand politics and to not shirk their political obligations… not just for themselves, but for their family, friends and neighbours…

Here’s my outlook on politics…

when considering an issue, I consider this, do I want that issue thrust on my brother, uncle or best friend if that issue applies to them…

  • if my best friend was just laid off, do I want welfare reforms to screw him?
  • if my uncle was just diagnosed with some nasty cancer, do I want health care reform to screw him?
  • if my brother just came out of the closet with the love of his life, do I want the gay marriage debate to prevent him from having as happy a life as he can?

yeah, sure, welfare reform, health-care reform can affect me directly… maybe help me save a few bucks… but what the fuck? do I just consider my own pocketbook and say “fuck you” to everyone else?

what a low, selfish, mean-spirited, petty and frankly sick attitude to take…

and the funniest thing of all, these are the attitudes of xians… those “turn the other cheek”, “do unto others”, “god is love” people…

Matthew 23:15
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.

Luke 6:42
How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

fuck I love throwing their shit back at them…  ;-)

2 Kings 2:23-24 (New International Version)

Elisha Is Jeered

23 From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. “Go on up, you baldhead!” they said. “Go on up, you baldhead!” 24 He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.

ya just GOT to love the compassion, eh? ;-)

HA!! hee hee…

Christians, Jews and Muslims are soooo fucked up… :-)

Nigeria teacher dies ‘over Koran’

Secondary school pupils in north-eastern Nigeria have killed a teacher after apparently accusing her of desecrating the Koran, police say.

The teacher, a Christian, was attacked after supervising an exam in Gombe city. It is not clear what she had done to anger the students.

Nigerian police say students beat the teacher to death outside the school compound after she had been invigilating an exam.

The students had apparently accused her of desecrating the Koran, though it is not clear exactly what she had done.

The amazing thing is that these fuckers think that they are vindicated by god himself… and their community will likely give them the full weight of their emotional and psychological support, even if they are convicted for murder…

that conviction will be considered immoral and probably pandering to Christian and Western pressure…

even if they spend 50 years in prison, when they walk out they will feel that THEY were the victims… and they will be supported…

religious community… isn’t that supposed to be one of the GREAT things about religion… the love and support?

nuh uh…

THIS is the evil, the sickness, the cancer that is Religion.

The New Testament makes direct remarks to homosexuality being a sin…

but does it really?

Here is the essential New Testament remark:

” Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”
1 Corinthians 6:9-10

About 99% of the New Testament, as we have it now, was written originally in Greek, the remnants being in Aramaic or Hebrew.

The greek word that gets translated as “homosexual” is malakos. Seen here:

“á¼¢ οὐκ οἴδατε ὅτι ἄδικοι θεοῦ βασιλείαν οὐ κληρονομήσουσιν; μὴ πλανᾶσθε· οὔτε πόρνοι οὔτε εἰδωλολάτραι οὔτε μοιχοὶ οὔτε μαλακοὶ οὔτε ἀρσενοκοῖται.”

Malakos literally means “soft”. When Classical Greek uses malakos in regards to a man it implies him being effeminate; Malakos does NOT in anyway imply homosexuality.

The Greek and Roman world were very comfortable with homosexuality and homosexual acts. What modern society would define as a 100% straight heterosexual man could comfortably go off and have homosexual sex, it simply wasn’t anathema.

What Greek and Roman society did despise was weakness, which they exemplified as the soft whining puling squeamish cowardly effeminate male who, in the Classical world, could have been as straight as a yard stick.

Translators and theologians can claim all they want that the writer of 1 Corinthians meant “homosexual”, but its a spurious and disingenuous claim. A writer in the 1st Century AD, especially writing in Greek for an educated audience that conversed in Greek as the scholarly lingua franca, is going to use words of that cultural and period context. Malakos therefore meant weakness, not homosexuality.

Below I’ve included two examples within the New Testament of where malakos is correctly translated as “soft” or “fine”, apparently where they can’t get a jab in against queers.

“If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear fine clothes are in kings’ palaces.”
Matthew 11:8

“ἀλλὰ τί ἐξήλθατε ἰδεῖν; ἄνθρωπον ἐν μαλακοῖς ἠμφιεσμένον; ἰδοὺ οἱ τὰ μαλακὰ φοροῦντες ἐν τοῖς οἴκοις τῶν βασιλέων εἰσίν.”

“If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear expensive clothes and indulge in luxury are in palaces.”
Luke 7:25

“ἀλλὰ τί ἐξήλθατε ἰδεῖν; ἄνθρωπον ἐν μαλακοῖς ἱματίοις ἠμφιεσμένον; ἰδοὺ οἱ ἐν ἱματισμῶ ἐνδόξῳ καὶ τρυφῇ ὑπάρχοντες ἐν τοῖς βασιλείοις εἰσίν.”

frankly, I’m getting really sick of this stupid debate. People and gods really need to get their brains out of my pants and my bed, though I’m not gay.

I will say this though, if malakos IS rightly translated as homosexual, I’ll be in hell with you guys, cause I’m certainly sexually immoral… wee hoo!!… I’ve been a drinker… and I’ve done one or two more of those things on the list… I may apologize to any victim, but I for one will NEVER ask some glorified easter bunny for forgiveness for it… so hell bound I am…

I almost feel like going to a gay orgy some night taking it and giving it wherever and whenever just to flick my nose at these mind killing people that want to control everyone’s lives.

One of the frequent things that I’ve heard from religious people goes something like this:

“Look around you… at the trees, the fish, the insects… look in the eyes of a baby… how can that be anything other than evidence of the hand of God?”

Creation is a miracle… the diversity… the intricacy… only God could be responsible for something so huge… it’s just too complex to be the end result of blind chance

well… frankly, I think that reasoning does one thing only… it completely belittles nature, our world and man himself

Christians, Muslims and some Jews (most Jews are too smart for that shit)… believe that God created the world in 6 days just over 6 thousand years ago…

now, lets leave all scientific evidence aside… for the minute, let’s say… who cares…

there’s two divergent beliefs…

  1. we are here and now because God made us as we are like out of a mold, seemingly on a whim cause it frankly only took 6 days…
  2. the world is where it is after surviving 6 billion years of unimaginable adversity

1 says that we popped out from the mind of god complete and perfect

2 says that the world and the universe has evolved over 6 billion years… through all the crap that can possibly be thrown at it… all the bio-chemical, physical and other myriad forces that stood in the way of evolution was conquered and life evolved to survive and thrive…

we have survived so many hardships and forces to get to where we are… we have lived and died through millions of years from a puddle of slime to now where we can realize that #1 is a crock of shit…

where is the miracle?

to think that 1 in any way represents a miracle is a joke… the miracle is #2… evolution is the miracle… #1 is simply a mental cop out

I don’t understand the hubbub about this case…

to me it typifies the American dream… isn’t this the base faith of America?

shuldn’t these men be held as heros?

Isn’t this what Capitalism is all about?

baffling

A Catholic priest in the US is under arrest and another is on the run after being accused of stealing millions of dollars from their parishioners.

Monsignor John Skehan, 79, was charged with grand theft, as Florida police searched for Father Francis Guinan.

The two men are suspected of stealing a total of $8.6m (£4.6m) from their Palm Beach church and funding a lavish life of property, holidays and gambling.

Source: BBC

I don’t understand how this is stealing either… idiots willingly giving money to prop up the servants of their imaginary friend cannot be conned, since they were conned from the minute they started digging in their trousers looking for spare change…

“a fool and his money are soon parted” isn’t that the saying?

Again, the wonderful efficacy displayed by the religion of Christ in purifying the morals of pagan Europe has no parallel in Buddhist annals. Wherever the religion of Buddha has prevailed, it has proved singularly inefficient to lift society to a high standard of morality. It has not weaned the people of Tibet and Mongolia from the custom of abandoning the aged, nor the Chinese from the practice of infanticide. Outside the establishment of the order of nuns, it has done next to nothing to raise woman from her state of degradation in Oriental lands. It has shown itself utterly helpless to cope with the moral plagues of humanity. The consentient testimony of witnesses above the suspicion of prejudice establishes the fact that at the present day Buddhist monks are everywhere strikingly deficient in that moral earnestness and exemplary conduct which distinguished the early followers of Buddha. In short, Buddhism is all but dead. In its huge organism the faint pulsations of life are still discernible, but its power of activity is gone. The spread of European civilization over the East will inevitably bring about its extinction.

Christianity as a whole is a disease… a cancer… a plague of human mediocrity and sickening malevolence…

This petty and vile conclusion to the Catholic definition of Buddism is testament to the end of the church itself and its institution of misogynistic pederastic priesthood…

the quicker the fucking better.
