We live in a world where no one can have an opinion, a thought or feeling that cannot be used against them.
This is a sad truth.
A person has two options:
- shut up
- say what you want and feel, but make sure that you are willing to be fired, or arrested, or dumped or any other number or combination of negative and punitive repercussions.
Be assured, if you choose #2, the world will not back you. You can have a right to your thoughts, feelings and opinions but you have NO right to expect to be allowed to express them freely or openly.
If that isn’t a condition you can accept, then you can choose to become a monk – there is NO place for you in this world.
